Title: Mandelbulb 3D: Slicing
Post by: Chordus on May 12, 2014, 10:45:46 PM
I'm looking to find a setting in Mandelbulb 3d so that only points a certain distance and furthered are rendered, creating an empty "bubble" of sorts around the camera.  I'm pretty certain I've seen this done in videos, though I can't find any examples at the moment.  The "Cutting" tab comes close, but only slices along the axes... not particularly useful when the camera is at an angle.  Might somebody point me in the right direction?

try playing around with the near plane it may be found in the camera tab!

That doesn't seem to exist in my version, either in Navi or the main camera tab.  I'm running the Mac version...  probably should have said that to begin with.

At least now I know not to spend any more time looking.  Guess I'll have to make do work without it.
