Title: Shape-Stack Overflow | High density Mandelbrot zoom Post by: Dinkydau on May 06, 2014, 01:26:09 PM High-density Mandelbrot zoom with shape-stacking
Download the video at 60 fps and up to 100 Mb/s! It's spectacular! https://mega.co.nz/#!ttdGRThK!L9Nt20IalsOYbb92E_chKZBPeoRGB1IEiF1SAC2ENJo (https://mega.co.nz/#!ttdGRThK!L9Nt20IalsOYbb92E_chKZBPeoRGB1IEiF1SAC2ENJo) This video was a real codec killer at the dense parts. This is verstoppertje, right?
Title: Re: Shape-Stack Overflow | High density Mandelbrot zoom Post by: cKleinhuis on May 06, 2014, 04:08:48 PM it looks like it comes out of the fog ;) nice the crappy video encoding used for a nice effect :D
Title: Re: Shape-Stack Overflow | High density Mandelbrot zoom Post by: Dinkydau on May 06, 2014, 04:17:22 PM Yes, those details are very extreme! Normally I encode with constant bitrate because that works well with zoom videos, but because of the much varying density I had to do a 2-pass variable bitrate encode with up to 100 Mb/s for the dense areas. Of course, youtube doesn't even come close to the requirements. You can see it does handle the less extreme parts well, though. Indeed, this is the location of verstoppertje: (http://th07.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/f/2013/222/f/f/verstoppertje_by_dinkydauset-d6hinis.png) |
