Title: My latest UF animations Post by: bib on August 18, 2009, 02:04:07 PM Hello,
Here are my latest videos (some of them are hi-res renders of older work and without the watermarks). What do you guys think about them? What do you like or dislike? In your opinion, what could I change/improve in the way I do fractals ? Watch in HD and thanks for the feedback! cheers bib http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXUSXSxHCTA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gx_AZZ5uto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqri1VIqd4c http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2G0QPdeuco http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_g8rW8Xerk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhZmDxbh6TI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq7gzGjSWuQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_LLI5-DgDo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rnho4vikozY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_5axs85X0M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEafzh5DOVY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0X8PVuxNw4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H603qZfhTNM Title: Re: My latest UF animations Post by: Dinkydau on August 18, 2009, 04:36:32 PM I've seen them all on YouTube already, also commented. Great work again, Bib!
Title: Re: My latest UF animations Post by: bib on August 18, 2009, 04:42:33 PM Thank you :) but the hardest work is done by my new Intel i7, not me ;)
edit: 100th post! Title: Re: My latest UF animations Post by: Dinkydau on August 18, 2009, 09:07:06 PM As with buildings, the credit goes to the architect while the contruction workers done the hard work. (http://nl.board.bigpoint.com/seafight/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Title: Re: My latest UF animations Post by: lycium on August 19, 2009, 02:42:02 AM those are pretty cool animations :) nothing to critique really... i'd use different colours but that's of course a personal thing!
Title: Re: My latest UF animations Post by: lycium on August 19, 2009, 02:45:36 AM btw you picked an unfortunate time to pick up an i7, the new ones (much cheaper and similar performance) are already selling in taiwan! these use a new socket supporting 2 instead of 3 memory channels, with consequently cheaper motherboards. it's basically the mainstream i7s everyone's been waiting for :)
still, since you're now on the "high end" platform (socket 1337 or whatever, hehe) you'll be able to upgrade to the 6- and 8-core processors when they come out next year. Title: Re: My latest UF animations Post by: bib on August 19, 2009, 08:02:30 AM Thanks for the comments.
Lycium, I Iagree about the i7. But I bet that when the next processor will be available, there always will be someone to tell it's infortunate to buy it because next year is coming the new iXYZ much much more powerful and cheaper. It's the same story since the beginning of computers :):) If I follow ths kind of thinking, I would still be doing fractals on my Amiga ;) Title: Re: My latest UF animations Post by: lycium on August 19, 2009, 08:09:52 AM i know the point you're making, but i think you've misunderstood mine: the new ones are selling RIGHT NOW :P
