Title: Hello from France
Post by: IsaD on April 30, 2014, 01:28:27 PM
Hello everybody,

Just wanted to introduce me. I'm 58 and live in the suburb of Paris. I'm really addicted in fractals, and render them most in JWildfire, even if I from time to time use other fractal generation softwares, and i'll be happy to discuss with others fractaholics. :mandel:

Fractals are really fascinating. I learn to make many analogies to my life (all biological life) and the cosmos with fractal images. It helps me to feed the visual part of my brain and then the cognitive funcitons put 2 and 2 together, in infinite iterations, and pattern recognition wins. So, yes, if addiction is chemical sequences in the brain ( and the motivation to reiterate the pattern ), and fractals help me to release these sequences, then I would say I am happily and healthily addicted to fractals too.

Hi Isad,

Welcome one board, I have no idea what JWildfire is but after searching I found some pictures on Pixabay, is that yours?
Liked it a lot.   I use  Chaoscope of and on for years now and never tried anything different for there was enough to explore in my view.
But under influence of this forum I started with Mandelbulb and have some other programs already in stock for it is a wonderful way to relax, good for my concentration and good for some lazy brain cells  ;)
I hope you will enjoy yourself here, I do and I'm looking forward to see some of your artwork.

Grtz
