Title: Behaviour patterns, especially OCD & schizophrenia linked to fractal dimension
Post by: Chillheimer on April 10, 2014, 09:51:47 AM
I was thinking about how our daily routines and behaviour patterns show fractal characteristics.
A google search for a connection to OCD brings up this study:
http://each.uspnet.usp.br/sistcomplexos/SC1/Fractal/brainfractalTOC.pdf
"The schizophrenic group had a significantly smaller mean Fractal Dimension (of cerebral cortical surface) than OCD group, and the OCD group than normal controls.

For me, this comes close to proving that our daily life, behaviour, routines are based on fractal patterns.
What's your opinion?
If you have more examples, please share!

The more fractal brain the less schizophrenia?
