There's nothing in your post but that one line of text. I see the picture just fine. Attached a screenshot. Try quoting the message to see that there is indeed more than just one line of text - it includes the image link to http://ubuntuone.com/5GFTvysBiYSCplxMzpYOlJ Could be an Ubuntuone issue, or maybe a browser issue, but there is definitely an image there! Title: Re: Beneath the Surface Post by: element90 on April 14, 2014, 03:33:19 PM Ubuntu One online storage is being discontinued. Does anybody know of an online storage supplier that allows direct links to files? By direct links I mean that links to pictures in blogs (forums etc.) are displayed as pictures and clicking on links to software packages result in a download dialog without going to a page on the supplier's web site first.

I know I'm replying to my own post but as I have found a replacement for Ubuntu One I no longer need an answer to the above question. The online service I'm using to replace Ubuntu One is https://copy.com?r=Q0xNQo (https://copy.com?r=Q0xNQo) the direct links to pictures work correctly although Copy does display a download web page for files such as archives, Windows installers etc. but I can put up with that as only the file to be downloaded is referred to unlike the additional crap some other services display. Once all the files that were previously stored on Ubuntu One (1.8GB) have been uploaded I have to replace all the links to Ubuntu One hosted files with links to Copy hosted files and there are hundreds of 'em. Copy provides 15GB of free online storage. Use the link https://copy.com?r=Q0xNQo (https://copy.com?r=Q0xNQo) and get an extra 5GB. |
