Post by: Dinkydau on April 02, 2014, 03:04:20 AM
Extremely deep zoom featuring amazing julia sets from the series "Evolution of trees"
70 million iterations

You can download the original file with awesome quality: 60 fps and 70 Mb/s. Very much worth it.

Thanks and congratulations! The video was supposed to be published on youtube on your birthday (it was scheduled but youtube didn't listen), but that's even though I didn't know it was your birthday.

hui, 7 gigs ...  O0 but i am downloading it right now, the description sounds very yummy, a classic ff coorperation ;) but what made me finally click was the nice zoom depth to 2^1500 :)

Thanks for downloading the original file. I've worked with over a terabyte of lossless files to make the details perfect. Anything less than 70 Mb/s was causing noticeable artifacts. Fractal zooms with many details are codec killers.

it is so mind boggling, stop it anytime and look around  :ugly:

It is very very nice with the non-smooth and bailout 2 coloring, I think it is the best with these colors. And the nasty new glitch I discovered is also avoided (changed main reference make the whole view slightly different when bailout is large). I wonder if Mandel Machine would encounter the same if it would implement manual selection of main reference.

1TB... That is really an amazing number in itself! I have 80G free harddisk on my laptop...  :o
