And today is my birthday! Title: Re: Evolution of trees - Very deep Mandelbrot zoom Post by: Dinkydau on April 02, 2014, 03:26:38 PM Thanks and congratulations! The video was supposed to be published on youtube on your birthday (it was scheduled but youtube didn't listen), but that's even though I didn't know it was your birthday.

Title: Re: Evolution of trees - Very deep Mandelbrot zoom Post by: Dinkydau on April 02, 2014, 10:14:36 PM Thanks for downloading the original file. I've worked with over a terabyte of lossless files to make the details perfect. Anything less than 70 Mb/s was causing noticeable artifacts. Fractal zooms with many details are codec killers.
Title: Re: Evolution of trees - Very deep Mandelbrot zoom Post by: cKleinhuis on April 02, 2014, 10:57:49 PM it is so mind boggling, stop it anytime and look around :ugly:
Title: Re: Evolution of trees - Very deep Mandelbrot zoom Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on April 03, 2014, 12:02:33 AM It is very very nice with the non-smooth and bailout 2 coloring, I think it is the best with these colors. And the nasty new glitch I discovered is also avoided (changed main reference make the whole view slightly different when bailout is large). I wonder if Mandel Machine would encounter the same if it would implement manual selection of main reference. 1TB... That is really an amazing number in itself! I have 80G free harddisk on my laptop... :o |
