Title: (Some) accented/nonASCII characters being double-escaped Post by: Pauldelbrot on March 29, 2014, 05:19:24 AM Seems that sometime since the last time I used Greek letters in math here, a bug got introduced that causes non-ASCII characters in posts to get double-escaped, which makes them render as codes meaningless to most people. An affected post is http://www.fractalforums.com/images-showcase-%28rate-my-fractal%29/draconic-nebula/ and this is likely to exhibit the problem right here: ω (should be a lowercase Greek letter omega).

Curiouser and curiouser. It doesn't not work here. Either some individual forums (incl. Images Showcase) are affected and others (incl. Discuss Fractal Forums) are not, or the general forum post form doesn't have the problem but the gallery image submitter does. |
