Title: 1.21 Chunkiness
Post by: geomagnet on March 20, 2014, 06:23:19 PM
Hi,

Not sure if this is a bug, or a new setting I haven't adjusted.

Procedure:

Open Mandelbulber.  Turn on OpenCL.  Render default object...looks great, renders in a split second.
Using the mouse click function "Move the Camera" and zoom in by clicking about 8x's.
I looks good up to a point and starts to chuck out.  Can't say I've ever seen this before.

Running a Nividia GTX780.

Thanks
James

I guess it's not a hidden setting. It looks like you reached the end of single precision float math. Opencl renders only single float, cpu mode uses double precision...

Oooohh...that makes sense.

Maybe I can use the for a "Tron" animation.
