The turbulence comes from a Julia component that is a destabilized Herman ring; there is also a dendrite from a minibrot (little white snowflake/starburst patterns inside the Great Tan Spots) and an Elephant Valley whirl (dark spoke pattern at left, and its many smaller clones).
