Title: Mandelbulber 1.21: Need help with 3D pointer in image preview Post by: mcc on March 02, 2014, 09:57:45 AM Hi,
After a longer pause of not mandelbulbing I downloaded Mandelbulber 1.21-1 for Linux (64bit). Oh damn -- this became FAST! Wonderful! :) THANK YOU! There is one thing which is not clear to me...unfortunately I did not found infos about that on the net or the manual: When hovering the cursor over the preview window a cross of thing lines is displayed and its center a box of cubes. This box seems to mark the size of the "volume of mandelbulb" which gets rendered if you click the mousebutton. So far I understand that. But since the box of cubes only seems to decrease in size when hovering above a certain area... how can I include bigger volumes ... ? Thank you very much in advance for any help! Best regards and have a nice weekend! mcc Title: Re: Mandelbulber 1.21: Need help with 3D pointer in image preview Post by: mclarekin on March 04, 2014, 12:19:06 AM Hi mcc I think that the 3D pointer is just a 3D pointer, giving you an idea of the perspective planes. The different size of the 3D grid it displays indicates the depth (or distance away) of the part of the fractal image you are pointing at. Other users can correct me if I am wrong :) |
