Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: cKleinhuis on February 16, 2014, 11:02:27 PM very nice pictures, sooner or later i am going to provide a dedicated section, this program seems to attract many, so it might come soon that i open up a board for it

If you go to the link for your picture and right click a popup box gives you the option to view all sizes. Selecting large I hovered over the the 1024 x768 picture and right clicked and copied the image URL "http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3830/12803420934_9aafa61ca0_b.jpg" This pastes nicely within the img tags this forum provides. My ISP provides a full flickr-pro account, hopefully this doesn't just work for me? Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: ellarien on March 01, 2014, 02:47:06 PM @panzerboy, thanks. AIUI Flickr doesn't like you doing that without providing a link to the photo page (and they stopped explicitly providing the links to make it harder), but as the link is present in the thread I guess it's OK.
Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: panzerboy on March 02, 2014, 04:49:46 PM I had to google AIUI - As I Understand It.

Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: cKleinhuis on March 16, 2014, 10:11:57 PM i like the circle shape very much as well, nice find, it does not really look like a mandelbrot ;)
Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: youhn on March 16, 2014, 10:13:21 PM The first one from SeryZone has a really cool blue part! I'm a bit bored with the default color scheme, but I like the spiderweb-looking last one aswell!
Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: SeryZone on March 17, 2014, 06:48:35 AM Wow, SeryZone, that first one is awesome! Did you find those with mandel machine as well? Yes, Dinkydau! I learn how to render in MM and find out 'Evolution of Trees', that you found out first! Thanks a lot! i like the circle shape very much as well, nice find, it does not really look like a mandelbrot ;) That's morphing Julia! Look to my gallery: http://seryzone.deviantart.com/gallery/44209233 (http://seryzone.deviantart.com/gallery/44209233) You can see coordinates. look to coords and you can understand, how to morph =) Good luck! The first one from SeryZone has a really cool blue part! I'm a bit bored with the default color scheme, but I like the spiderweb-looking last one aswell! Thank you so much! I very glad that you like my works! =)) Good luck in exploring fractal Universe!!! Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: panzerboy on March 24, 2014, 10:39:48 AM Thank you Botond putting the palette into the .mmf files.
I can now generate 4096 colour palettes! :chilli: With that many colours the stripes become very fine, more like tree rings than snail-shell. But I don't think there are any glitches in your "Molecular" image, isn't it just a part of fast dark and light color transitions in the palette? (The other images from all of you are awesome too :)) Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: SeryZone on March 25, 2014, 08:01:33 PM SeryZone, wow that's some amazing views! (The other images from all of you are awesome too :)) Thank you very much, Karl!!! :D Your words really inspire me for new works (now I explore very deep and hard zoom to ~e1600)!!! :embarrass: Thanks a lot! Good luck to you! :thanks2: :thanks2: :thanks1: Quote But I don't think there are any glitches in your "Molecular" image, isn't it just a part of fast dark and light color transitions in the palette? Kalle, I render my video 'Holy S**t' in Mandel Machine and I see similar glitches. So, I guess, this NOT NEEDED reference addition. I can't make 1-reference calculates but I MUST abort rendering on FIRST part calculations!!! :sad1: This is one image, but in my video similar glitches too much and this is very big disadvantage!!! In Kalles Fraktaler I can setup calculations on 1 reference orbit and after, if image have glitches I can add needed reference. But I can't do it in MM, therefore you see this gl***es!!! Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: youhn on March 25, 2014, 08:19:44 PM Another quiet one, but a little spikey. Might aswell been called easy-going-sand-rollercoaster or something:

But I don't think there are any glitches in your "Molecular" image, isn't it just a part of fast dark and light color transitions in the palette? These are real glitches, I described them in the Mandel Machine thread: http://www.fractalforums.com/announcements-and-news/mandel-machine/msg72270/#msg72270 (http://www.fractalforums.com/announcements-and-news/mandel-machine/msg72270/#msg72270) Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: youhn on March 27, 2014, 10:42:18 PM I just found out something new (at least for me). I knew that increasing the color density leads to some sort of chaos. This gives some sort of grey mass in the middle and branching tube-like structures on the lower (outer) iteration bands. But in some area's (first zoom to a mini-brot on the antenna, then some dense parts close to it's border, then find a julia) order reappears when increasing the density:
(http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2014/086/1/d/when_order_goes_through_chaos_and_reappears_by_jeroensnake-d7bv82b.png) http://jeroensnake.deviantart.com/art/When-order-goes-through-chaos-and-reappears-443195795 I guess this is not a big secret ... ? Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: ellarien on March 28, 2014, 01:08:48 AM Curious. I wonder if it's something like an aliasing effect?
Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: Dinkydau on March 28, 2014, 08:34:48 AM It means that the length of the gradient is almost the same as the difference in iteration count between those "almost-circles"/julia sets with high symmetry. Indeed it creates some nice effects. I do it all the time.
Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: youhn on March 28, 2014, 06:37:32 PM Curious. I wonder if it's something like an aliasing effect? You won't see it (so clear) without AA, but it is NOT because of it. If you could view it in a non-anti-aliased image of about 9600x7200, you would see about the same. Given enough viewing-distance (or small enough image) your eyes/brain will implement about the same algorithm as the computer antialiasing. :nerd: Title: Re: Mandel Machined Post by: ellarien on March 28, 2014, 08:23:26 PM I was thinking more of aliasing in the signal-processing sense -- what DinkyDau said, but it was late and I couldn't manage to unpack the reference into plain language. :dink:
