Title: How 2d fractals like this Rising Inferno
Post by: eight on February 13, 2014, 06:49:28 AM
Hello,

I am new in fractal software and was wondering how one approaches something like http://haltenny.deviantart.com/art/Rising-Inferno-430213486 (http://haltenny.deviantart.com/art/Rising-Inferno-430213486)

Software, tips, tutorials?

Also I would like to animate the process of building this pattern. Is it possible so that it does look like some physical process (rather than a mathematical fractal building process).

Thanks a lot.

it is using Apophysis and Chaotica, 2 flame fractal renderers, chaotica can finely animate the parameters, in a way you would like :D
start better of with chaotica, perhaps you can ask hal for the parameters, and then play around with the variables ;)

Both HalTenny (the artist) and I (Chaotica developer) hang out in an awesome deviantArt chatroom called Aposhack, you'd definitely be able to get some friendly help there: http://chat.deviantart.com/chat/Aposhack

Hal is a really friendly guy and he might well share the params with you :)

@cKleinhuis and @lycium: Thanks a lot, guys. This is most friendly forum I've ever seen.
