Title: Patterns in a baking tray covered in grease
Post by: simon.snake on January 13, 2014, 12:30:24 AM
Hi

I don't always get the washing up done and the other day I left a tray with fat (grease) on it on the kitchen worktop, and the following morning I came to do the washing up and found this pattern on the tray:

Strange and interesting patterns.  Almost fractal like.

Just noticed this post maybe should be in the 'Fractals in nature' forum.

If a moderator agrees, please move it to that forum.

Looks like something has grown (or set) radially from various seed points, causing a Voronoi type pattern where they meet. Never seen that before.
