Title: Dive into Seahorse, Dragon and Elephant valleys
Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on January 08, 2014, 09:25:42 PM
The Minibrots look all the same - all the way down to infinity. The only difference is the density, which increase exponentially.

This zoom starts in the Seahorse valley, continues to the Dragon valley and end in the Elephant valley, zooming in all the way.
The value of the "Iteration Division" is increased for each Minibrot passed, which reveals their familiar surroundings.

The end frame, with a depth of e32, have 50 million iterations and took 2 hours to render. Fortunately only one reference was needed, which was reused for all frames without causing any glitches, so all key frames was rendered in 12 hours. And no glitches needed to be corrected.

My thanks to SeryZone and Yann Lby for the inspiration on varying the iteration division value :)

Very nice zoom

It would have been barely possible without perturbation! In theory you could take the zoom paths of every mandelbrot zoom ever created, and make one extremely deep zoom where they all appear in order, going from one to the next at the minibrots. But that's impossible even with perturbation.
