How was this made? It looks fairly different from something I would expect to find on a standard Mandelbulb (although I have never zoomed into one very far). Is this really a standard Mandelbulb?

it was made with Mandelbulb 3D.

Amazing Box/Quadrat3D/Folding Int Pow

It's zoomed in at x541.

I come from a background of vfx compositing and lighting with vray, so i spend huge amounts of time on lighting and colors.
