Title: Hello from the north of Scotland!
Post by: tolworthy on December 14, 2013, 05:48:31 PM
Hello everyone! I'm excited to discover Mandelbulb. It's many years since I tried any fractal software and this is blowing me away. And it's free??? Jesse is a saint!

Also, major praise to the mods. The last forum I joined took days to get approved - I've been a mod myself on other forums and I know it's hard work, so getting accepted within just a few minutes is wonderful. I'm actually just about to go to bed (I work nights) so didn't expect to be able to post already.

Oh, and about me: I live in Scotland, am in my mid 40s, and love visualising alternate universes. That's how I discovered the board: I was looking for fractals that look like distant galaxies, then was amazed to discover I could make my own. But as a newbie I need some tips. I'm going to post a question to the "introduction to fractals" board and hope some kind soul point me in the right direction.

Thanks again for such amazing software.
