This is the last "doubled" structure in this series before fourfold symmetry takes over. Title: Re: A Seahorse Odyssey CXXXV Post by: kallisti on December 14, 2013, 10:31:23 AM I love that shape!
By the way, how long do these take to render? And how long would it take to render in big poster size, 360ppi? And how long would it take to render in big poster size, 360ppi? Thanks! These have taken from a few hours to a few days each, using a non-perturbation speedup I developed. What pixel resolution are you requesting? Title: Re: A Seahorse Odyssey CXXXV Post by: kallisti on December 15, 2013, 03:35:21 PM OK. I am not requesting anything in particular at this time, but I have been following your postings with interest and desire, and I have been playing with the thought of commissioning a large poster-sized image in 360 dpi for my livingroom wall. However, I would have to go through all the images again and pick one out, which will not be easy. At the current time I am inclined towards one of the motifs from the Mandelbrot Safari thread.
I remember from your Safari thread that some of the images took days to render, so I guess a poster-sized version would take weeks or months. Anyway, this question was only intended to gauge the possibility of commissioning a large-scale image from you in the future. I'm a poor mofo, and an order of such a magnitude would warrant a reasonable compensation for the CPU time.
