This must have lead to a huge number of glitches, but there are no as far as I can see in the movie, so the creator has made a very good and careful job.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdHnkbR_2Ds And here is a beautiful movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SkaycGzquY Title: Re: My reward Post by: Dinkydau on January 20, 2014, 12:25:21 AM That zoom with 8 minbrots is spectacular! I will watch the other ones as well, but there's so much to watch.

My mind was blown by the fact that these patterns are truly infinite, and I imagined that we would maybe in the future be able to go deeper than the images in the magazine showed.
But I never found out the formula until about 10 years ago, and then I did a small program based on the double data type and amused myself zooming to e13. I imagined how fun it would be to create an arbitrary precision class to be able to go deeper but thought it would take too much time. But a couple of years ago I searched YouTube and found zooms down to e300. My mind was blown again, and it encouraged me to realize the ap class. Almost a year later I was able to make some deep zoom movies myself. And then I found this forum, read K.I.Martin's post and my mind was blown again. It is therefore very rewarding that this guy, who's movies once blow my mind, made a movie with my program: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAA7jWDCZiE (Which also movies from Panzerboy and Dinkydau did :)) Unfortunately this movie shows a new glitch that I have also encountered. When 'standard' smoothing method is used, that is using a high bailout value, and a different main reference is selected for a view, the color of the whole view sometimes get slightly different. It is shown as growing rectangles in the movie. Maybe the 'equipotential' method is better for movies even though it does not create as good smooth effect as 'standard'... This is just an amazing view if the old Mandelbrot set which I haven't seen before. :) Title: Re: My reward Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on May 14, 2014, 12:10:38 AM Here is a really cool and original movie using backward color cycling and a iteration division lower than 1 which makes color bands on fractions of the iteration bands.
The spikes looks like they punctures the lines: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TT6SV5ZtGY Title: Re: My reward Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on May 17, 2014, 09:05:38 PM This is a really cool movie taking perturbation and Kalles Fraktaler to the limit with 150 million iterations.
Since every iteration is stored in memory it requires 150MB x 3 x 8 = 3.6 GB!! http://youtu.be/4-o9jQhkkck Title: Re: My reward Post by: Dinkydau on May 17, 2014, 10:06:52 PM That's a very spectacular video indeed. It didn't even have enough iterations for the most dense spirals. They are so dense that they require more iterations than the minibrot. The previous one you mentioned on 3 May is also fantastic.
Title: Re: My reward Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on May 27, 2014, 09:53:26 AM I just want to show you! Here is another one from this french guy.
Really spectacular, original, surprisingly different and... simply amazing! Some of the dense spirals look like... oval beach balls. And then there are some fantastic spirals and julia shapes made of beach balls... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcEL9qSG5gA Title: Re: My reward Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on June 16, 2014, 12:32:26 AM Here is another fantastic movie:

The video's are spectacular. Incredible how the colours do their 'fractal-dance' it's fascinating even hypnotic. I'll watch them aagain on a big screen later this evening (after the football) I'm gonna enjoy it with a good cold bootle of beer. Cheers man! Title: Re: My reward Post by: youhn on June 16, 2014, 11:33:05 PM The creator of the first one REALLY likes spirals ... it's both predictable and suprising. While I do have much respect for the design, it's not really my style. :nerd:
The second one .. WOW ! it seems alive, they way it morphs and moves. Arms and tentacles, encapsulated by the white colored bands. Fantastic! :star: Title: Re: My reward Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on August 20, 2014, 08:05:44 AM Here is a another dense one with not so much spirals, more bubble like shapes:

Title: Re: My reward Post by: 3dickulus on May 03, 2015, 09:57:40 PM yt sucks but your zoom vid still rocks!
imho this is what a mandel-zoom vid should look like, any 3D or other special effects would diminish the simple pure beauty of the M set. to KF Title: Re: My reward Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on May 08, 2015, 08:35:11 AM According to this french guy Youtube gives more quality to videos when they have more than 300-600 views...?

I really want to try this! How is it done?! Title: Re: My reward Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on February 03, 2016, 10:05:02 AM wow! Yann has made a Movie Maker program based on the KFB iteration data files from Kalles Fraktaler.I really want to try this! How is it done?! He has also sent me the source so I can compile and run it. If you would allow me, I can upload it to be downloaded from http://www.chillheimer.de/kallesfraktaler However, the program is an experimental prototype and it would require a guide or tutorial to be able to understand how to use it. He also sent me a screen shot of what he is currently fine-tuning which looks very promising, so there are more magic to come... :) Title: Re: My reward Post by: Chillheimer on February 03, 2016, 10:25:42 AM great news!
of course you can put it online there! :) Title: Re: My reward Post by: panzerboy on February 03, 2016, 01:43:48 PM Fractal Universe's latest "Hidden treasures" has some great locations.
I was curious what the final mini-sets would look like. Kinda tough to find them, went down several 'dead ends' but I found one. The location is close to the last sequence in Hidden Treasures, I've backed away from deep in the valley to avoid black spots. But the structures are similar and the so the zoom sequence works the same way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RgEGg5AuvI Title: Re: My reward Post by: lkmitch on February 03, 2016, 05:32:23 PM Nice! Thanks for posting it.
Title: Re: My reward Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on February 04, 2016, 12:28:31 AM Thanks panzerboy!
I am still struggling with the first movies of fractal univers. :) I wish I had a library of all the locations of his 3 movies, but due to the skew I cannot back-track them. And he indicated he didn't store the locations... 88) Title: Re: My reward Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on February 07, 2016, 10:49:44 AM Here is the latest magic from Yann: Shadows!

Ive seen several of the 3d videos, they look impressive. I know yann made a special coded program for this. Would it be possible to post a tutorial on how to do this?
