Title: Too much for youtube Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on November 25, 2013, 08:00:44 AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dlh8VJwvj5c
The render of the frames took 15 hours, and the movie was created in also about 15 hours, with some multi-threading. However the multi-threading caused a lot of bugs that I am trying to find and solve. Smooth color transitions and also varying - Speed with smooth transitions, inspired by SeryZone - Rotation - Color cycling Unfortunately this movie get too much for youtube to handle, and the result is blurry and mushy. Even though I followed all the guidelines: - Codec mp4 H.264 - Bit rate 50,000 kbps The original movie can be downloaded here https://mega.co.nz/#!6JhQhDLa!Q3KaGFq4Jtr97gZPHq5lv0i2NitH3MgWtxmS9z2KX2s (https://mega.co.nz/#!6JhQhDLa!Q3KaGFq4Jtr97gZPHq5lv0i2NitH3MgWtxmS9z2KX2s) Title: Re: Too much for youtube Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on December 04, 2013, 10:16:53 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OBQZhgim5Q

Do you have any experience with vimeo or other video-hosters? it would be too bad if all these great movies can't be watched in hq.. Yes, I have found movies made with my program on vimeo, which was a glad discovery. But I think there is some kind of compression also there. Title: Re: Too much for youtube Post by: schizo on December 05, 2013, 11:02:04 PM I was also not satisfied with the quality of my latest video. Compression was killing a lot of details. Video uncompressed was 8.5GB, my H264 compression 1GB and the downloaded mp4 youtube video 50MB so only a 20th of my already compressed video. So I registered at vimeo and upload the same video or only the half because there is a 500MB limit at the free account. I think vimeo has better quality, but isn't for free when uploading huge or many videos. Compare the results (full screen + 720p HD) for yourself: Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeVUPnMGXCg Vimeo: http://vimeo.com/75140922 |
