Title: New Mandelbulb-3D fractal and question... Post by: reactorman on October 24, 2013, 02:05:57 AM Hey all,
While exploring with zooming, I came across what I thought was kinda interesting. The only thing is there appears to be black dots that I don't think are part of the fractal. Anyone know why that shows up and is there a way to stop that from happening? Thanks and hope you like it! Jim Title: Re: New Mandelbulb-3D fractal and question... Post by: Madman on October 24, 2013, 03:43:27 PM It's probably caused by overstepping (which means the distance estimation "misses" the wall of the fractal) and this can be reduced by decreasing the value of the raystep multiplier (and/or the stepwith limiter, but adjusting the RSM is more then adequate in most cases)
