An aux light, layers and mandelbugs

I had been trapped alone for 7 days in the complex system of caves known as the French Fractal Formation. One foot was snared awkwardly in an Apollonian gasket. I had been surviving on raw mandelbugs and liquid iterations dripping from the ceiling. Then I heard a noise, and looking up saw the helmet lamp of my rescuer approaching. Man, I'll be glad if I never have to eat another raw mandelbug again!

lol, for me - on first sight - they look more than little cars in a looping or rally course

Understandably. Mandelbugs are known to disguise themselves as little cars to try and fool predators. ;D

A couple of years ago, I had an infestation of something very similar.   They kept coming in during the night through the window I left open for my cat.   Took forever to finally get rid of them all, and the cat helped me out with the smaller ones (guess she thought they were something to catch and play with).    :D
