Title: Deep dive in the walley of compasses and watches
Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on September 10, 2013, 02:42:14 PM
This is another loooong movie and I believe it is the deepest in a complex area, i.e. not near -2,0i.

It was rendered in a month + a couple of days on my old 32-bit dualcore laptop.

Could indeed be the deepest zoom in such an area, 18 minutes!

Did your laptop have a melt-down from all the work??    :D
Though it started out pretty good, when the images turned into basically a lot of concentric circles over and over again, my interest began to dwindle to the point of me nodding off.

One month on two processors is nothing, before this summer nobody could have done it in at least several years - on super hardware :)

Yes these movies gets very long. And you still haven't seen nothing yet ;)

Depends on the resolution, of course.

Though it started out pretty good, when the images turned into basically a lot of concentric circles over and over again, my interest began to dwindle to the point of me nodding off.
I stretched the from the beginning round shape to have four long arms that looked something that looks like a compass or a watch, which is visible around e127.
Then I stretched a bit more, randomly, until I reached e300 where I centered the zoom to reach the Minibrot at e600.
