Deep sea fractal fumarole.
Travelling into the depths of  the oceans of Mars is possible if your rover is propelled by anti-gravity. (Hint for NASA.

With all of these Mars fantasy images, it appears you may have been unduly influenced by the writings of Edgar Rice Burroughs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_Rice_Burroughs).    :D

yes you are correct Paul.  While I tweek and navigate my way thru the fractal universe, I am often listening to Public Domain books at Librivox  where I found the first few Warlord of Mars books by Edgar Rice Burroughs :)

That may be why I am not necessarily convinced that NASA's Curiosity images are representative of Mars :)

When I was quite young, I think I went through every one of the books in the Barsoom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barsoom) series.  (May John Carter and the Princess live forever!!!)   :dink:
