Title: Brahmabrot Quadratic General animation Post by: Alef on September 06, 2013, 01:20:55 AM Just didn't had any better name. But now resolution and quality of this buddhabrotesque video should be better.

Title: Re: Brahmabrot Quadratic General animation Post by: 3dickulus on September 06, 2013, 01:47:52 AM cool! a Goldfish, I've been thinking about this kind of plot for Fragmentarium, has anyone done this yet?
(in 3D? yes of course. In GLSL a la Fragmentarium?) Title: Re: Brahmabrot Quadratic General animation Post by: Nahee_Enterprises on September 06, 2013, 07:27:39 AM Just didn't had any better name. Not sure this is a "gold fish" as pointed out by another responder, but definitely appears to be some luminescent deep sea organism that is capable of morphing into various shapes. :D Title: Re: Brahmabrot Quadratic General animation Post by: 3dickulus on September 06, 2013, 10:23:19 AM genus and species...?
Brahmabrotii Quadraticus, gold extremities, somewhat translucent, very shy and elusive, known to reside at great depths, morphs to throw off predators or entertain friends, nocturnal? Thanks Quote I've been thinking about this kind of plot for Fragmentarium, has anyone done this yet? Hadn't noticed. If fragmentarium are able to use 3 floiting point (fixed) arrays then it's possible. Formulas are 2D but density plot often gives kind of feeling of being 3D(in 3D? yes of course. In GLSL a la Fragmentarium?) Title: Re: Brahmabrot Quadratic General animation Post by: 3dickulus on September 09, 2013, 08:44:55 PM I've been looking at ker2x's buddhaGenerator, to be more specific the one on github by Emilio Del Tessandoro.
Can the RGB planes also be represented in 3d as XYZ ? Sure why not ? might resemble a height field rather than a real 3D plot but could be an interesting view. I don't think I've seen a 3B fractal (buddha-brot-bulb) Title: Re: Brahmabrot Quadratic General animation Post by: Nahee_Enterprises on September 10, 2013, 04:29:35 AM I've been looking at ker2x's buddhaGenerator, to be more specific the one on github by Emilio Del Tessandoro. I don't think I've seen a 3B fractal (buddha-brot-bulb) ker2x posted a topic called: THE Holy 3D Buddhabrot ! \o/ (http://www.fractalforums.com/movies-showcase-%28rate-my-movie%29/the-holy-3d-buddhabrot-!-o/) Also, a quick search under Google shows a few that claim to be "Images for 3d buddhabrot (http://www.google.com/search?q=3d+buddhabrot&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=eYIuUuvoGcXA2QXP74CADQ&ved=0CCkQsAQ&biw=1680&bih=969)". Title: Re: Brahmabrot Quadratic General animation Post by: Nahee_Enterprises on September 10, 2013, 06:02:31 AM wow, some incredible images! Yes, there are. And quite a few of those are on FractalForums. :D Title: Re: Brahmabrot Quadratic General animation Post by: Alef on September 14, 2013, 03:04:06 PM There alsou are old 4D thin a buddhagram. Its based on that z*z+c have 4 possible input variables. But then like everything 4D it don't fits in our 3D space.
But notable exeptions are this http://www.fractalforums.com/movies-showcase-%28rate-my-movie%29/orbit-density-map-%28aka-anti-buddhabrot%29-rotation/ (http://www.fractalforums.com/movies-showcase-%28rate-my-movie%29/orbit-density-map-%28aka-anti-buddhabrot%29-rotation/) Title: Re: Brahmabrot Quadratic General animation Post by: 3dickulus on June 07, 2015, 08:57:22 PM gold fish? |
