Title: Re: A strange place on Arrakis Post by: VanlindtMarc on August 21, 2013, 12:12:42 AM Yes, but it's hard in english ^^
It's a mix of three formulas : 1st : Riemann, 2nd : Smoothbox, 3.Foldintpow. to obtain this fog : I put the Far Plane in previsualisation window at a very low value (here 40), just to the limit of the view. In the Lights Options, i put Depth to a value to recover the back of the scene. I put the d.fog to max and in previsualisation window i change the iteration of the d.fog :) I hope you understand. Perhaps those are Shai Hulud on the horizon? I don''t remember much storyline, but that :fiery: Arrakis :fiery: was a waterless planet. I think you've well shown the searing desolate dryness that might exist in such a place. Title: Re: A strange place on Arrakis Post by: VanlindtMarc on August 21, 2013, 09:34:41 AM Absolutely, it's the raw file from mb3D. For a good fog effect, the "Raystep Multiplier" and the "Stepwidth limiter" is set to 0.1 The Smooth normals is set to 8 |
