A very nice image.  I like the "texture" look, very marbled looking.  And the web of "haze" on the inside.

You are quite correct on that being an excellent book!!!  Something that every serious fractal explorer should have in their library.     ;)

Thanks! Both textured effects are generated using a Perlin Noise function (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perlin_noise (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perlin_noise)).
