Title: Stormy Weather Post by: thom on July 23, 2013, 05:57:29 AM Stormy Weather
(http://nocache-nocookies.digitalgott.com/gallery/14/5281_23_07_13_5_57_29.jpeg) http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=14605 This was made with Apophysis 7x and Photoshop. Apophysis 7x is an interesting fractal program with a lot of room for artistic expression.. Title: Re: Stormy Weather Post by: Dinkydau on July 23, 2013, 02:14:56 PM Apophysis, really?
Title: Re: Stormy Weather Post by: thom on July 23, 2013, 02:56:32 PM Yes...Apophysis 7x and Photoshop cs6.
Title: Re: Stormy Weather Post by: thom on July 23, 2013, 02:59:44 PM Just to be clear...basic "curved" shape and design from Aposohysi 7x. Textures, colours and "stormy skies" added with Photoshop cs6.
Title: Re: Stormy Weather Post by: lycium on July 23, 2013, 04:03:22 PM As someone who writes IFS rendering software much like Apo, I am fairly sure there isn't a single pixel rendered by Apo in this image.
Title: Re: Stormy Weather Post by: cKleinhuis on July 23, 2013, 04:08:19 PM i cant see any connection with apo here as well, @thom can you please elaborate what you meant ?!?!
Title: Re: Stormy Weather Post by: thom on July 23, 2013, 04:15:38 PM As you wish...and what would I have to gain by giving credit to the wrong program? It would seem that there is an attitude towards me and I don't really understand it. Perhaps you should ban me? It's your call and option.
Title: Re: Stormy Weather Post by: thom on July 23, 2013, 05:41:49 PM In thinking it over I realize you have had the following complaints about me: (1) when I first started posting I used only number which you asked to to stop and use names. (2) you then didn't like where I posted my pictures. (3) You said my 10 minute videos were too long to watch. (4) You felt I didn't give enough credit to those who wrote formulas I used ( I always as with Fsk endeavor to say where they came from...but not every time. (5) There was an issue whether or not a picture was really fractal or not. (6) Now we question what program was used to make a picture. I think it is time for me to ban myself. I have enjoyed our time together and wish you and your site the best. thom:(:
Title: Re: Stormy Weather Post by: cKleinhuis on July 23, 2013, 06:16:41 PM Arrrh not again. . .
We are just wondering what role played apophysis in this particular image, since the foreground looks like classical mandelbulb Perhaps you used a mandelbulb script within apophysis? That is the question, just describe what steps you took in apophysis, no offence!!!!! Title: Re: Stormy Weather Post by: Madman on July 23, 2013, 08:36:11 PM Stormy weather indeed...
No need to feel offended, Thom, since, like all other posters apparently, I'm rather ignorant of Apo 7x (Kinda lost track since the Apo 3D hack...) and would immediately believe it if you told me you made it in M3D. But hey. That's probably because M3D is my favourite and I think you can do everything with it ;D. So don't be mad. Please? Your fractal looks totally not like something made in apophysis, so I don't understand why you are so surprised with the comments. |
