pros: - The camera move (Nice movements and path, interesting point of view ) - The fractal Shape ( A complex and beautifull hybrid spudsville ) - The burning DOF ( i like a lot the way that de shape appear and disapear, in a burning way ) - The slices and cuts on the material ( cuts on material during camera move are adding some life ) cons: - Render quality ( too much synthetic for my taste ) - The aliasing ( the video is full of aliasing that destroy the overall work ) - The plastic material ( cf render quality ) - The music Quality ( the music sounds woofy and blurry, don't really highlight the content ) imo, some camera cuts, different scenes and pov, would add more dynamism, and make it more interesting to follow. I hope my comment could be usefull ! :D Title: Re: Endless escape Post by: bib on June 30, 2013, 08:59:42 PM Thanks for the feedback!

IMHO the film starts to be interresting @ 1:04 - when you quit shooting a symetric object from the front middle. I know the real world analogon to this - the eiffel tower - is one of very few objects, where this might work for some seconds, but the spatial complexity can only be caught by leaving the middle axis. In the second minute you do so and I really enjoy letting my eyes jump from one stage to the next deeper. the second minute is a complete different film for me. The first minute is ok, not to mention - the second minute is fantastic! Just my humble opinion... btw youtube still cripples movies with their rigid compression. most 720p movies on vimeo look better than the 1080p version on youtube.
