Title: Mathmatical Particle Program OSX only for now
Post by: Blace on June 21, 2013, 10:14:29 PM
Here's a program I've been playing with a bit and didn't know if anyone here might be interested in giving it a try. Right now I've got the c++ code running with Xcode using Cinder 0.84. I've made it so the spacing of the particles can be determined using formulas and then I've put a transition between the different formulas. This version transitions between 7 main formulas and adds a side each time starting with triangle to ten sides then looping back. I've offset the RGB's and left the previously drawn images without clearing. This is just the app, but I'd be happy to post up the code if anyone wants to play with it. I'm still kind of new and learning, but I've tried to comment the code a so it would be easy to learn from and make changes. I'll try and get it running on other OSs too if I get a chance to test it, it should run compile on Win fairly easily too, thanks!

I'm sorry, but there might not be a purpose exactly. It's just like a screen saver kind of, but I might make it audio reactive at one point. I thought of using it as a basis for a wall projection and that maybe I can figure out how to get it to transition from different fractal and other mathematical formulas.
