Title: Mandelbulb 3D v1.8.9 Post by: 33larry44 on June 20, 2013, 11:58:47 PM 1) How do you know which formula to use? Why should I use Amazing Box with _SinY ?
I have gotten some amazing images almost always from tweaking other people's parameters. I want to be able to chose the formulas myself. Is this just a matter a trial and error? 2) Is there something in plain English (or other languages, I live in the US) that explains what tabs and stuff actually do? For instance: When you hover over the 3 tabs in Formulas a pop up says "Type of Hybrid" "Alternate: Formulas 1 to 6 Alternated" What does that really mean as far as making an image? Is there something that explains in plain English what these 3 tabs do and why you should chose one over another? This is just one example of the frustration I find in using this program. I could go on and on, but this is enough for now. Larry Hodgson Title: Re: Mandelbulb 3D v1.8.9 Post by: KRAFTWERK on June 21, 2013, 09:09:10 AM 1. It involves lots of trial and error, I have spent thousands of hours to find my favorite combos, after a while you get a feeling for how the different formulas can affect a scene...
2. Read the manual. A text-file included in the Mandelbulb 3D folder on your computer, it is in plain english... Good luck!
