Title: Best 2D and 3D fractal software to get? Post by: laser blaster on April 12, 2013, 02:53:54 AM Hello. I was thinking of downloading some free fractal software, and I wanted to get some recommendations. Which free 2D fractal software is the best overall in terms of features and performance? And which ones let you program your own formulas?
As for 3D fractal software, the main ones seem to be Mandelbulber and Mandelbulb 3D. Which one do you prefer? Are there any other good ones? Any that let you use your own formulas? Thanks. the best known 2d generators are chaospro, and in my eyes ultrafractal, both programs provide formula editors... Title: Re: Best 2D and 3D fractal software to get? Post by: bib on April 12, 2013, 11:22:00 AM You cannot add your own formulas in Mandelbulber or Mandelbulb3D, but in Mandelbulb3D there are some basic formulae that you can combine together (scale, fold, addC, etc.... If you want to script your own formulae I suggest Fragmentarium.
