Title: MDB 1881 - issue with bkg picture setting
Post by: stebev on April 07, 2013, 11:06:02 AM
I am hoping this is the correct place to put this as this is the first time I have put anything on this site.

I recently downloaded the latest full version of MDB and I can't get a background image to open, when I go to the "back pic" tab click in background image box, it opens up my files explorer box. Once I choose a file to open it removes the tick from the background image selection and no image opens.  :sad1:

Cheers steve

I also had a problem like this.
There was a warning in the message box "filename must be 24 characters or less".
Hope this helps.

Two issues coming up in the warning box. One is the size of the file name that I am choosing and the other is that it has to be in the folder designated in the ini folder options. I don't remember that happening in previous versions, when I have been choosing bkg files

Sorry for the late response...

yes, both limitations for the background image (can be stored in maps-folder or images-folder, max 24 characters long inclusive 4 characters for the extension) are now shown when trying to open it.  Else you would have these issues when trying to open the parameters again!
