Title: Living Planet - a morphing fractal entity in space
Post by: schizo on March 29, 2013, 09:05:26 PM
Welcome to the Living Planet.

This is a zoom into the upper part of the object in my Caleidoscope Eye 2 animation:

I really like the julia morphing of the original animation so I thought it would be interesting to see some more details. The julia parameters are nearly the same as in the original, but I've added a sun, some stars, color changes and hard shadows for the first time. The result is this fluid fractal entity somewhere in space. :alien:
Hope you like it.

Turn on HD!

Wow - mesmerizing!  The tone of the animation and the music are just perfect.  Well done!

Hi there,

the stereo version of the Living Planet is now available.  ^-^

The stereo effect is not always perfect because I used the Common lense type. Read this thread to know more: http://www.fractalforums.com/feature-request/problem-with-stereo-rendering-common-vs-rectilinear-lense-%28v189%29/
