Title: center view in navigator
Post by: schizo on March 25, 2013, 10:01:10 PM
Hi Jesse,

when using navigator and zooming into an interesting structure it often takes several steps to justify the point of interest in the center. a one-click methode would be great and could be called "center view". so click "center view" and then click somewhere in the upper navigator part. the clicked point of interest will become center of the view, so you can zoom in directly without additional side-movement.

maybe there could be two versions of this:
a) a button in the middle of the sliding arrows. when clicked the rotation / looking angles stays the same but camera slides so that the clicked point become the center
b) a button in the middle of the looking arrows. when clicked the position of camera stays the same but the looking angle is modified so the clicked point becomes the center

I think this would be a very intuitive and fast navigation method.

thumbs up for this master piece of software
