I hope I can use the word "cute" inoffensively, but that's how I see the actual image in the center. And that seems to be a single image, with the other fractal being only a frame, I guess. (I'm not sure what the texture is.) BTW, some of my family have always wondered about the relationship between two sons of two cousins. I think that's a "removed" relationship, and know I could look it up but maybe you could give me a hint since you used the term in your title. I'm sorry to have been too lazy to ever look it up, but the relationship doesn't come to mind except for odd instances like one at a time when I simply must catch some shut-eye. Oh... and beyond "cute" the fractal does definitely look as though it took you a lot of time and care to produce. ;~) I regret having not tried to use Mandelbulber more than I have. Title: Re: Cousin Elroy twice-removed Post by: mclarekin on March 31, 2013, 08:57:38 AM Hi, you know until today I didn't know that there was this "show new replies to your posts", i'm new to this web site type thing. So apologise for not responding.
Yes when using Apophysis, I made a few picture frames using Ngon I think, the texture was also from that programme. I stumbled on the image and threw it all together. Anyhow, not sure myself about the relationship rules, but second cousins are non-siblings who share common great-grandparents. whereas the twice removed is "generationally" removed i.e. your second cousins child would be your second cousin once removed.
