Title: Export of Arrays as Epic Landgens to plug into Minecraft
Post by: Mrz00m on March 02, 2013, 09:48:49 AM
A guy recently told me that he would enjoy seeing Mandelbulb formulas as worlds in minecraft.

Would it be quite an easy feature to add, to export arrays of for example 10 000 cubic voxel spaces, simply as lines of numbers? perhaps with an extra number to denote the colour or other parameter of different voxels so that the map would have 5-10 different types of cube varieties across the map, and also cube varieties could be coloured by any kind of 3d formula just to give some kind of variety.

any idea what the optimal viewing distance etc would be and how many megabytes a 32 000^ 3 array something is, what is the best array to use, Boolean/int what data type??

Hey thanks!
I am finding I could do with very much data/ some kind of mandelbulb 3d-to ISO surface formulas , for example to though I did this video, it's a physical gyroid
