Absolutely. No post-work, no fancy lighting, just a color map and the cross-section of a julia set. This is the 2d stage that is on screen before rendering. Frankly, I think M3D has as much potential for 2D artwork.

Actually there are three 2d render buttons, banned in the 'Position' expandable tab...  ^-^
