Title: Hello from New Zealand Post by: mclarekin on February 06, 2013, 12:05:39 AM New member from New Zealand. Awe-struck by the talent and possiblities encountered in this site. My first video seems so very basic compared to the art i have seen here. If you wish to view, here is my first humble attempt at using the Mandlebubler software

If you use a clean youtube url an automated embed code is generated, use youtube.com as host instead of youtu.be i never understood why youtube does this but it seems it is something like a temporary url . . . Title: Re: Hello from New Zealand Post by: mclarekin on February 06, 2013, 02:06:59 AM Thanks, I see what you mean.
Title: Re: Hello from New Zealand Post by: eiffie on February 06, 2013, 05:58:53 PM I enjoyed the video - but I have strange tastes.
Title: Re: Hello from New Zealand Post by: cKleinhuis on February 06, 2013, 06:57:04 PM The video is nice
for embedding, i am afraid the https protocoll is a problem as well. . . :( Title: Re: Hello from New Zealand Post by: mclarekin on February 07, 2013, 01:03:06 AM Thanks for advice I will have to upskill, but in the near future will concentrate on uploading my images.
Re your post on Where are you from Sept 2010 "so we have a total nerdness in new zealand" .. Some of us are only aging proto-nerds who got their kicks from slide rules and log tables, and now emerge from our caves lured by the beauty of computers and fractals. Its all a bit frightfully fractillian, but it seems definately worth it Thanks again for alerting me to what i need to learn about. Title: Re: Hello from New Zealand Post by: Kali on February 07, 2013, 05:14:21 AM Hi and welcome to the forums!
About your video... I think visuals are not bad, and also not so good... but I like the song :) I also make songs, but this forum will never know about that side of me. I mean, I think I'm somehow doing fine with the fractal stuff and I don't want to ruin my reputation here rofl2 P.S.: As a follower of eiffie's youtube videos I can testify about his strange music tastes ;D Title: Re: Hello from New Zealand Post by: mclarekin on February 07, 2013, 12:04:54 PM Thanks Kali for the welcome. I like the song too. Yes visuals could be alot better, im more of a slap-dash person, never likely to be a visual artist, no patience (sp?, wheres the spell check) and easily distracted. But Mandlebulber sure can simply produce interesting bright shiny things to draw the viewers eye away from an old geezer attempting to sing. Wonderful software. I doubt whether i will ever tackle the powerful side of it, so will likely be a quiet spectator in the forum rather than uploading many images. And before you age to 54, make a silly music video, its a lot of fun, just remember to hide behind dark sunglasses and a hat. cheers |
