It's incredible! The huge X-shaped spaceships are almost directly over us, and their escort fighters are just indistinct black clouds, there are so many of them. The area is barren except for a strange grey ropy-looking ground cover which is being completely destroyed by these big dark red mechanical spider things that are beginning to march across the landscape. The Grazhnan military is formidable -- you can really feel it with a telephoto lens! Uh, they're headed this way now and the unit we are embedded with has advised us to fall back. Trucks are arriving now to take us to a safer distance. I'm now hearing plasma fire from elsewhere on the front ... (Ground: Amazing Surface. Grazhnan military: box/menger variant of some sort.) |
