Title: Updates to mmf5.ufm and mmf5.ucl
Post by: David Makin on March 19, 2009, 06:02:13 PM
Hi all,

There are updates to mmf5.ufm and mmf5.ucl here:

http://groups.google.com/group/UFBeta/files

Edit: just to add there's some sort of issue with getting "mmf5.ufm" from the UF beta files so download them both together in the "mmf5updatesmarch2009.zip" file.

They're both UF5 formula files so you need UF5 to try them.

They need beta-testing and in any case the UF database is currently offline so I uploaded them to the UFBeta group.

The new additions are the "Multi Bailout" formulas - the formula and the colouring are designed to be used together.

The fractal formula includes options for divergent bailout, standard convegent bailout (point attractors) and periodic bailout (period>1).
The colouring allows you to choose separate class colourings for each of these 3 distinct types of area.

There are fairly comprehensive hints on all the parameters.

I'd appreciate any comments/suggestions or other feedback :)

bye
Dave

Just to say that the updates I mentioned (to mmf5.ufm and mmf5.ucl) have now been uploaded to the Ultra Fractal Formula Database as well as some updates to mmf.ulb (DLA Inspired colouring and Standard Distance Estimator colouring).
