Title: Mac Question
Post by: vinniefracker on January 28, 2013, 05:12:46 PM
Installing Mandelbulber3D on a Mac requires I mess with my terminal. I am real not familiar with using the terminal and I keep getting prompts that indicate that, if I don't know what I am doing, I could crash my computer or lose important files. Are there ways to use Mandelbulber of do fractals on a Mac which gets around risking crashing my computer or losing important files?

Seems to me you can reduce that chance rather effectively by looking left and right...  ;D

ehrrm, yay, got me, lets look for a better example ... what about ... using airplanes ?

ok, so, if following a step by step tutorial and not executing commands like "rm -rf /*" you should be save using the command line ....

Are you try to use mandelbulber or mandelbulb3d? With mandelbulb3d there is a thread in the 'mac software' section including a download with a wrapped version that doesn't require any terminal commands. I don't know about mandelbulber as I haven't tried it myself.
