The original upr was created with a test version of the raytracer. This version is not quite the same, but it is close. You will also need an image for import which is attached.

Now we need to get David Makin to get his formulas into the database. :D I version my formulas for backwards compatibility so I can continue to fix bugs and make improvements. :) Was intending to redo my stuff in class-based format before publishing to the database, but I guess I can go with my latest version of the Wip3D formula if I do a little more work on the latest additions I was working on (2 years ago). The formula is still definitely buggy and not ready for prime time, but here is an early example of a mandelbox - mandelbulb merge.

There are 4 frames in the image. The upper left switches formulas every iteration, the upper right every other iteration, the lower left every 3rd iteration and the lower right every 4th iteration.

Here are two Juliabulb versions (power = 3). These are slices through the Juliabulb which show the internal shape of the Ikenaga Julia. The first image uses what I think is the original triplex algebra. The second image is the Reversed Positive Z version of the triplex algebra (method is from Jason's Softology website). I am still making addiitions and doing some debugging, so the code is not in the UF database yet - hopefully soon.

They are not really bugs, but serious impediments to any upgrades or extensions. I am working on fixing them (with versioning so any previous works will not be lost), but it may take a while. :'(

I dont want to hijack the thread but i am working on a huge formula update myseld the power of uf lays in its twod capabilities and its tremendous parser i am going to publish amazingbox, mandelx, kifs formulas soon, accompanied with upcoming tutorials the object coding in uf is just tremendous, as you know i am a big fan of hybrids so i am working on a way to make a pluggable formula system by defining plus or multiplication as single fractal formulas where as operands existing formulas can be put in the whole ultrafractal is such a great program it is really enjoyable to browse the library and see the result directly in the browser. . .
