Title: Fractal Production
Post by: Eric B on January 23, 2013, 04:14:42 AM
Here's a short video of the frantic production today to create my latest buddhabrot gallery:

Each image required 20-30 minutes, so a couple days of rendering.

You can see my program in action. I remember in the mid 80's rendering fractal images on a 10 MIPS (gould) mainframe for an hour or two and being very impressed with the Mandelbrot set. Young persons today have no idea how fortunate they are to have so much processing horse power available to create these consumptive images quickly.

I like this. You don't usually see videos of the process.

Young persons today have no idea how fortunate they are to have so much processing horse power available to create these consumptive images quickly.
(Few exceptions exist.)
