I've had Apophysis and Ultra Fractal for years but have never really done anything with them. The last few years have been a pretty long slog and I determined that this would be the year I would get off my butt and stoke the creative coals before they die out all together. I suck at the pencil and paper math but have this sort of inborn sense of fractal structures. I see everything, and I mean everything as a fractal and marvel at nature's engineering; from a houseplant, to chemistry, metallurgy, people, astronomy and so on and so on. Today, thanks to some extraordinarily talented (and damn smart) minds, we lay people have the chance to see the universe through the lens of digital art.
I had never even heard of Madelbulb till a couple weeks ago. Like I said, I suck at math... don't even know what "r value" stands for (I think it means real). But I do understand spacial coordinates and I'm pretty adept at picking up new software; I "click click click" taking mental notes, oooohing and ahhhhing. MB and me are a match made in heaven. I'm like a kid in the candy store, or more so in my case, the naughty one who found the matches or learned how to use a magnifying glass on those poor ants. I'm SO glad to have found this forum.... wasted so much time... I could be a master by now. It's a new day and a new year and I'm hungry to learn and create.
