Title: How make MB 3D DIFS work Post by: RamiGraFx on January 13, 2013, 11:06:06 AM I have been playing around with MB3D for about a week now and no matter what I do I can no way replicate the results that you experts can.. I mix formulae and in the majority of cases just end up with a mess. Today I decided to do a comparision between the result when I open up DFS shrub m3p in one window, and then try and replicate it myself in another. I copied the formulas precisely and enterd all the correct values, but when I pressed calculate I just got a mess. Obviously I am missing something here. Perhaps one of you experts could please explain. Thanks

I would assume the camera position is the missing link!? Title: Re: How make MB 3 D work Post by: RamiGraFx on January 13, 2013, 01:38:09 PM Yes I can use the navigator ok. So you suggest that the reason that I cannot replicate the result is because I need to zoom in somewhere between adding the next formula in the line?
Title: Re: How make MB 3 D work Post by: taurus on January 13, 2013, 05:48:19 PM The camera position and angle can be controlled precisely within the main window (top right). notice that the angles must be applied every time you change them manually.
Surely you need to check every adjustment in every subwindow in order to replicate exactly, but i would not pay attention too much here. Start to play aroung with every button in sight asap and try to understand what it does - that's much more important. To express it a bit more metaphorically: you need the eyes of a painter, the brain of an engineer and the ludic drive of a child... ;D Title: Re: How make MB 3 D work Post by: RamiGraFx on January 13, 2013, 06:09:10 PM Thanks for that. I will have a go!

Title: Re: How make MB 3D DIFS work Post by: RamiGraFx on January 25, 2013, 09:13:27 PM Thanks a lot for your help. I have been reading your tutorials and am now getting somewhere. It seems to take a lot of trial and error to get a location initially but after that I seem to be progressing very well. I will be posting some images tomorrow, so your comments will be much appreciated. |
