Period 18 Julia (periodic bailout)

Hi, this is a period 18 Julia Set rendered by bailing out when the period is discovered and coloured using a mixture of smooth iterations and the real value of z at bailout.
Normal divergent bailout was also used but that area is just coloured black.
Just one layer - the colouring formula used was mmf3:Extended Cilia and max. iterations was set to 10000 with a convergent bailout test value of 1e-8 and a divergent bailout of 65536.
Note that because this is a Julia Set with only one period involved no extra iterations were required beyond the initial bailout.

It was rendered to disk at 3840*2880 without AA and took about 11mins on a (heat challenged) 3GHz P4HT.

The fractal formula used is still WIP but I hope to finish it this week :)

Great image. Can you show source code ? You use a divergent bailout of 65536 ? Why not 2 if you are making exterior all black ?

I realise this is a little late......all code included in the UPR.

Using 65536 is just habit from using colourings that require higher bailouts for accuracy.

Thx.

It is 3500 lines of code
Probably  your own program in c should be shorter.  :)
