Title: Hot Zone Post by: Pauldelbrot on March 11, 2009, 08:23:52 AM (http://u5789.direct.atpic.com/25268/0/1263382/1024.jpg) (http://pic.atpic.com/1263382/1024) A single period-2 attractor exists. This was a quick one thanks to the low iterations and ability to get away with a mere 9 samples per pixel. Atpic did a poor job of encoding the 1024x768 version that it generated. The 2048x1536 version that I encoded with local tools shows much less banding, though still some; this gradient seems to be another one that gives common off-the-shelf jpeg encoders fits.
