Certain shapes are more meaningfull than other. Jerusalem cube is such. It have deep cultural conotations, so it is more appealing or interesting than 'ordinary' shapes, throught alsou is more complex than 'ordinary' sets.

Well, I can give an idea, I think, that there are such possible shape, in mysticism alsou known as merkabah. In esoteric shop you can buy some Indian rock merkabas and pedants, and around internet there are sites claiming that this figure offers healing. Probably no magic involved but it's kind of strange attractor of strange folks.

Well, how about combining 2 sierpinski tretrahedrons in 3D Merkabah KIFS? Or even better a LRIFS? It deffinetely is possible. 2D sierpinski triangles are combined with XOR. And then I can claim it is an mayan artefact and earn some cash (just kidding).

No you can't.  :tease: We already tried it. There is a thread about this subject but I can't find it for now.


That's simply two Sierpinski tetrahedrons combined with union operator (that is, take the minimum of both DE's). You can extract the MB3D formula from the parameters provided by timemit.

There is also a (rather old thread) about the same subject. It's actually about 3D Koch fractal. They used IFS IIRC. Maybe David Makin could help. it's a star of David after all.  ;D

Some months agou I tried to extract it from timmemits parameter but didn't succeeded. In theory it could make good 3D print or maybe even top of christmas tree, but that would require some serious effor.
