But trying to install (64 version) I got this error:
Prerequisite check for system component .NET Framework 2.0 failed with the following error message: "This version of the .NET Framework 2.0 is not supported on a 64-bit operating system. Contact your application vendor." You have any idea what to do? Title: Re: Fractal Science Kit 1.22 Released Post by: Ross Hilbert on March 29, 2013, 08:11:46 PM Hi puntopunto, It looks like a problem with the 64-bit version of the .NET Framework 2.0. From your note, I think you are trying to install the version 'Fractal Science Kit (64-bit version) 1.22 released on 12/14/2012'. This is for 64-bit machines so I assume that is what you have. If you have a 32-bit machine, try the link 'Fractal Science Kit 1.22 released on 12/14/2012' which should run on 32-bit or 64-bit machines. The only difference is that the 64-bit version can generate much larger images. What Windows operating system do you have; i.e. Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8? It is my understanding that those operating systems come with the .NET Framework 2.0 pre-installed but maybe your machine does not have the 64-bit version installed. You could try installing the 64-bit version of the .NET Framework 2.0 from Microsoft prior to installing the Fractal Science Kit and see if that fixes the problem. You can find the Microsoft installation page at: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=6523 Please email me at rj.hilbert@verizon.net to let me know what happens. Thanks, Ross |
